General observations concerning the bar at Lagos channel entrance.
After strong winds and swell from the SE over winter and spring, depths at the entrance to the channel leading to the Lagos Marina, the Fishing harbour and the Sopromar boat yard may vary from those on current charts.
It is suggested that yachts with draughts above 1.5 metres leave/arrive at least on a quarter/half tide and avoid a low water departure/entrance for the time being.
Please take care extra if a swell from the south is running.
