Trattoria Vecchia Milano   In the Rua 1st de Maio, up the hill from the “Boy King” square.  Run by a couple from Sicily – excellent fresh pasta and other Italian dishes.

O Camilo   Just outside the town, near Ponta da Piedade (just off the road, on the left, on the way to the lighthouse).  First class fish restaurant and excellent value.

Adega da Marina.  On the Avenida. Consistent over the years. Traditional “refectory” style.  Fantastic atmosphere.   Queues outside in the summer – get there early!  Used for Navigators Friday Suppers.

Casa do Zé  At Torre, on N!125 near Odiaxére.  Take A Onda bus or enjoy the country walking route.  Similar style to Adega da Marina.   Only open for lunches.

Casa do Pasto O Seerafim  Behind the Bus Station. Traditional family operation.  VERY economical  –  very tasty, too.  Open for snacks and  lunches only.  Used for Navigators Friday Suppers. (Evenings by arrangement only!)

Ala do Costelo   Opposite Lagos hospital A&E department.  Good choice and consistent good value.  Used for Navigators Friday Suppers.

O Albertos  Behind the bus station and up to the GNR .  Superb Cataplana and steaks.  “Menu Económico” great value.  Used for Navigators Friday Suppers.

As Tapas Restaurant  Turn left at Lidls and it is on a side road just before the next roundabout.  Great traditional food and excellent value.  Special 3 course lunch + wine €7.50.
